CHOP Law is a new approach to old-time lawyering. My name is not the name of the firm because what I do is not about me—it’s about YOU. What is “old-time lawyering”? Old-time lawyering is centered around the client: if the client has a legal or business problem then they call THEIR lawyer. The client doesn’t have to worry about whether his lawyer handles this type of case or not. Because, if the client has a problem, then CHOP Law handles it! As you will see there are certain matters that CHOP Law does not handle on it’s own. But, when CHOP Law retains another attorney to assist the client in that specific instance, CHOP Law stays involved in the matter—“rides herd” over the other attorneys, if you will.

CHOP Law handles matters in most courts throughout Alabama. These include Civil, Criminal, Divorce, and Probate; Municipal, County, State, or Federal. CHOP Law can draft documents such as wills, pre-nups, sales or employment contracts and rental agreements. CHOP LAW does not handle SSI, workers’ comp, or bankruptcy, but can help you find counsel that does AND supervise their work.

CHOP Law is headquartered in the Bessemer Cut-off.  We are downtown, about six blocks west of The Bright Star.  CHOP Law accepts clients from the Tennessee Valley to Dauphin Island and all points in between.  And beyond, including:  Minneapolis, Minnesota; Manteca, California; and, Tokyo, Japan.  If you can’t make it to our office, CHOP Law will come to its clients’ place of business or will meet you in a conference room in the courthouse, county law library, or, even, The Bright Star (if you’re hungry!)
